This piece was commissioned by someone who felt a deep and personal connection to Joseph in the old testament. Not only do they share the same name but similar experiences as well. This piece captures what Joseph must have been feeling at some of his darkest moments, after betrayal, loneliness and unjust circumstances. However, key to this narrative, Joseph never renounced his faith in God and more importantly God never left him. Even in our darkest places, God is a small and growing glimmer of light to cling to.
