Every year I put together a very purposeful collection of Fall paintings to share the moments of the season that leave me in bewilderment. This year the abstract pieces focus on three main colors — Marigold, Amber, and that warm olive green.
Marigold and Amber glimmer with imagination. These toasty colors share with us such peace and joy that only a warm beam of sunlight on a chilly day can bring.
And our dear friend, Olive green serves as a reminder of endurance, renewal, growth and balance. When I see this green I think of a chill breeze through the changing trees. Not quite brown yet, not fully orange and yellow, but a warm green that sways with the wind. A deep breath.
How beautiful a thing when the grasses, flowers and trees start to die, they use their last bit of life to produce some of the most comforting and life-giving colors?
