“Equanimity Flickers” is a painting of stillness and its own constant struggle to maintain it. There are pockets of this piece that emanate a genuine expression of peace. But some strokes mirror those intrusive thoughts that cannot let the nervous system be. This piece has resolve and it has restlessness. She lives in the dissonant space between resolve, rest, and stormier things flickering around the edge of stillness.
