A bridge: a symbol of union - of connection, of travel and crossing.
A bridge

This bridge

Has seen me cross its rickety planks more times than I can count.
While creating this painting my life and thoughts created and crossed multiple bridges -—
While I paint, my spirit draws closer to God. A union, a bridge I am forever grateful for. I celebrate Him and thank Him in this process for the creative spirit he have given me.
to me, it means peace, safety, family and home. With each color, brushstroke and scrape I get to connect material with memory and stroke with story.

People, places, things
Memories, thoughts, day dreams
Feelings and prayers

They’re all creating bridges. Providing opportunity to cross into new places or into old ones. The stories never have to end.

My favorite thing about bridges is that there is no front and no back. The end we walk into is the beginning even if what we find on the other side feels familiar , it’s still ahead of us.

Through is always forward.
This bridge calls me back.
It also, always, calls me to come ahead.
